CMM Accessories

CMMXYZ carries an extensive list of probing accessories in stock. These include fundamental items such as fixed and articulating probe heads, reference spheres (certified and calibrated to national standards), extension bars and machine checking gauges (MCGs).

We primarily sell 3 types of extension bars: 

• PEL bars - these are the simple screw in type that are changed manually.
• PEM-style bars that are used with multiwire probe heads such as the SP25 scanning head which feature Auto joint capability. 
• PAA range of extension bars, these bars allow standard two wire touch trigger probes to be fitted to Autojointed heads, for example - TP20 to PH10 or MIH. 

Extension bars will allow additional probing capability from 50 to 450 mm and are extremely handy to get into those hard to reach places.

MCGs are an ideal method of interim checks for your coordinate measuring machine. Most manufacturers calibrate the coordinate measuring machine once annually, but it's helpful to periodically check the performance of your new CMM. The MCG allows fast performance evaluation of your coordinate measure machine at any time - It normally takes only 20 minutes!
